Story Submission Terms

Last Updated: November 2, 2026

Thank you for sharing your story with The Money Table. These Story Submission Terms explain how stories, experiences, ideas, and other materials submitted to The Money Table may be used.

Before submitting a story, please read these terms carefully. You will be asked to affirmatively agree to them when submitting your story.

1. Your Submission

By submitting a story, experience, idea, written statement, photograph, audio, video, or other material to The Money Table, you confirm that you are voluntarily providing the material and have the right to submit it.

You retain ownership of the original material you submit. However, by submitting it, you grant The Money Table the rights described below.

2. Permission to Use Your Story

By submitting your story, you grant The Money Table and its owner, affiliates, successors, licensees, and assigns a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, nonexclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, perform, record, edit, excerpt, adapt, translate, reformat, and otherwise use your submission, in whole or in part, in any media or format now known or developed in the future.

This permission includes the right to create derivative works based on your submission.

3. Podcast, Book and Commercial Use

Your submission may be used in connection with The Money Table and related projects, including podcasts, books, articles, publications, websites, newsletters, social media, streaming platforms, audio or video content, live events, educational materials, advertising, marketing, promotional materials, and other commercial or noncommercial projects.

The Money Table may monetize, sell, license, distribute, promote, or otherwise commercially use content that includes or is derived from your submission without additional permission from you.

4. Editing and Adaptation

The Money Table may edit your submission for length, clarity, grammar, format, privacy, storytelling, production, or other editorial purposes.

Your story may be summarized, excerpted, narrated, discussed, dramatized, adapted, combined with other material, or presented in another format, provided that we do not intentionally change the fundamental meaning of your experience.

5. Anonymous Submissions

You may request that your story be shared anonymously.

If you choose anonymity, The Money Table will not intentionally publicly identify you by name in connection with your story. We may also remove or change identifying details to help protect your identity.

However, anonymity cannot be absolutely guaranteed. Details contained in a story may allow someone familiar with the circumstances to recognize the people or events involved.

If you want to remain anonymous, please avoid including names, addresses, employers, account information, medical information, or other details that could identify you or another person.

6. No Compensation or Royalties

Unless The Money Table agrees otherwise with you in writing, you understand that you will not receive payment, royalties, ownership, profits, fees, or other compensation for the submission or its use.

Submitting a story does not create an employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, or other business relationship between you and The Money Table.

7. Your Responsibilities

By submitting material, you represent that, to the best of your knowledge:

• Your submission is based on your own experience or is material you have permission to share.

• You have the authority to grant the rights described in these terms.

• Your submission does not knowingly infringe another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.

• You will not knowingly submit false or unlawfully defamatory statements about another person.

• You will not submit confidential information that you are legally prohibited from disclosing.

Please avoid providing sensitive financial information such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or other private account credentials.

8. Stories About Other People

Your story may involve family members, friends, employers, coworkers, businesses, relationships, or other individuals.

Please use good judgment when sharing information about other people. The Money Table reserves the right to remove names, identifying details, allegations, or other information before using a submission.

We may decline to use any submission for any reason.

9. No Guarantee of Publication

Submitting a story does not guarantee that it will be selected, published, discussed, recorded, or otherwise used by The Money Table.

We are under no obligation to respond to a submission or explain why a story was or was not selected.

10. Withdrawal Requests

You may contact The Money Table to request that an unpublished submission not be used.

We will make reasonable efforts to honor withdrawal requests received before publication or production.

However, once content incorporating your submission has been published, recorded, distributed, printed, licensed, scheduled for production, or incorporated into another work, we may not be able to withdraw, remove, recall, or destroy that content.

The license granted under these terms therefore continues even after a withdrawal request to the extent necessary for materials already created, committed, published, distributed, or in production.

11. Release

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you release The Money Table and its owner, affiliates, representatives, successors, licensees, and assigns from claims arising from the authorized use, editing, publication, distribution, promotion, or commercialization of your submission in accordance with these terms.

Nothing in these terms waives rights or claims that cannot legally be waived.

12. Agreement to These Terms

By submitting your story and affirmatively agreeing to these Story Submission Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood them and voluntarily agree to them.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not submit a story.
